In July 1994, four shuttlecocks were donated to the museum from the Sosland family. Three of the shuttlecocks are sprawled along the front of the museum, with the fourth one in the back. Groundbreaking began in July 1930, the cornerstones were laid in the spring of 1931, and by the fall of 1932 the exterior was complete.
